Topline

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is resigning, multiple outlets reported, the latest in a recent string of high-profile exits among Trump Cabinet members after Gabbard was reportedly iced out of operations regarding the Iran war.

Key Facts

Gabbard reportedly informed Trump of her decision Friday, citing her husband’s cancer diagnosis.

She will remain in her post until the end of June, Fox News reported.

Gabbard is the latest female Trump Cabinet member to resign or be fired in recent months, following Attorney General Pam Bondi, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer.

Gabbard told Congress earlier this year Iran had made “no efforts” to rebuild its nuclear program following last year’s strikes in June, contradicting President Donald Trump’s primary reason for attacking Iran in February, and she refused to say that Iran posed an imminent threat to the U.S. at the time of the attacks.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
