Concert films and documentary hybrids based around famous musicians have become more and more popular in movie theaters around the world, especially in the United States. People do not go to see movies like they used to years ago, following the introduction of streaming platforms, and many venues are looking to quite simply put something on the screen in the hopes of getting people in. For the past few years, more and more music-related films have hit the big screen, and some have also spawned live albums.
There have been dozens of such projects playing in American cinemas in 2026 alone. Early in the year, Twenty One Pilots premiered a film titled Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined, which hit theaters in February. Now, months after it finished a short theatrical run, a live set connected to the movie named More Than We Ever Imagined – Live In Mexico City debuts on multiple charts in the United Kingdom, becoming another bestseller for the rockers.
Twenty One Pilots Debuts Inside the Top 20
More Than We Ever Imagined debuts on four charts in the U.K., and it is a top 20 seller on all but one of them. The live release starts at No. 15 on the Official Physical Albums list and No. 16 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Vinyl Albums rosters.
Twenty One Pilots Faces a Lot of Competition
The Twenty One Pilots live release ranks as the tenth-loftiest debut on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Vinyl Albums charts this week. On the Official Albums Sales tally, one additional new release starts its time ahead of the rockers.
All three rankings are led by Paul Heaton, whose newest project Jenius launches at No. 1 across the board. Twenty One Pilots also comes in behind new arrivals from Brandon Flowers, Jorja Smith, Sam Smith – no relation between those two – and Weezer, among several others.
More Than We Ever Imagined Barely Makes the Main Albums Chart
More Than We Ever Imagined only narrowly reaches the most competitive albums ranking in the United Kingdom. The project debuts at No. 96 on the 100-space Official Albums chart, which details the most-consumed full-length projects and EPs of any style throughout the country.
Twenty One Pilots Reaches Several Career Milestones
The band’s latest live offering brings Twenty One Pilots to a milestone 10 career placements on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts at the same time. The group is now up to nine hits on the Official Vinyl Albums ranking and just eight on the consumption-based Official Albums tally.
Twenty One Pilots Hits a New Career Low
More Than We Ever Imagined sends Twenty One Pilots to a new career low on the Official Albums chart. Before this week, only one of the group’s charting releases had failed to break into the top 10. One version of Blurryface topped out at No. 44, though another edition of the band’s breakout project climbed as high as No. 5.
On the Official Vinyl Albums chart, More Than We Ever Imagined becomes the second-lowest-peaking title from Twenty One Pilots. Its No. 16 start ties Vessel, which spent a single turn in that position in the spring of 2023. Only Location Sessions has stalled in a lower spot. That project debuted at No. 37 and was never seen on the vinyl ranking again.
