Drake has racked up more hit songs on many Billboard charts than any other artist. He recently became the first star to collect 400 smashes on the Billboard Hot 100, the list of the most popular tunes in the nation. That sum would have been inconceivable only 20 years ago.
It is not only with songs where Drake overperforms when it comes to the charts. Many of his albums have not only conquered the Billboard 200, but held on that ranking for years. Several of the longest-charting efforts ever are by the Canadian hip-hop talent, and another fan favorite in his discography reaches a milestone that few artists will ever approach — one which Drake himself has now hit multiple times.
Drake’s Certified Lover Boy Reaches Five Years
Certified Lover Boy rises three spaces on the Billboard 200 this week, improving from to No. 87. As it lifts, the album reaches 260 weeks on the tally. That’s exactly half a decade as one of the most-consumed albums and EPs of any style in the United States.
Drake Has Six Albums With Five Years on the Billboard 200
Certified Lover Boy becomes Drake’s sixth album to celebrate at least half a decade on the Billboard 200. He may be the only artist to have racked up that many long-lasting wins.
Take Care is far and away Drake’s sturdiest project, and it has now accumulated just over 700 weeks on the roster. Both Nothing Was the Same and Views have also held on for more than a decade, with 538 and 537 frames, respectively.
Two other projects by Drake have lived on the Billboard 200 for considerably longer than Certified Lover Boy. More Life and Scorpion are up to 445 and 426 weeks on the ranking, respectively.
Drake’s Next Five-Year Album Is Far Away
It will be at least a year before another Drake release has a chance to make it to five years on the Billboard 200. If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late ranks as his eighth-longest-charting project on the tally, and only a short time ago, it crossed 200 turns on the list.
Certified Lover Boy Is One of Drake’s 15 No. 1 Albums
Certified Lover Boy is one of Drake’s landmark 15 No. 1s on the Billboard 200. That total – which grew earlier this spring with Iceman – ties him with Taylor Swift for the second-most leaders among all acts. They trail only The Beatles, as the band has collected 19 champions.
Certified Lover Boy launched atop the tally in September 2021 and went on to spend five weeks running the show. The album is tied with one of its predecessors, Scorpion, as Drake’s second-longest-ruling effort. Views remains well ahead of both of them, as the 2016 blockbuster managed an impressive 13 stints in first place.
Drake Fills 11 Spaces on the Billboard 200 This Week
Drake occupies 11 slots on the latest edition of the Billboard 200. Iceman leads the group at No. 9 and holds, while Take Care, Thank Me Later, Certified Lover Boy, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PartyNextDoor and For All the Dogs all gain ground compared to where they landed only a few days ago.
Five other titles from the rapper move in the opposite direction. Views, Scorpion, Habibti, More Life and Nothing Was the Same decline to Nos. 54, 83, 126, 163 and 171, respectively. Even during a quiet week, Drake still manages to fill about 5% of the entire roster.
