Dua Lipa’s “Training Season” returns to the top 10 on both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts more than two years after release. The first three singles Dua Lipa pushed from her third album Radical Optimism all became big hits in the United Kingdom, where she’s regarded as one of the most successful pop singers of the last decade or so. She nearly scored another No. 1 with “Houdini,” which missed out on ruling by a single space. Follow-up cut “Training Season” topped out at No. 4, while “Illusion” barely broke into the top 10, climbing as high as No. 9. Since then, the handful of tracks Dua has shared have completely missed the roster, although when she kicks off another era, it’s likely the Grammy winner will land perhaps several more smashes.
Years after it was selected as a single from Radical Optimism, “Training Season” suddenly went viral only a few weeks ago, and Dua is still celebrating the renewed attention. This frame, the track reappears on multiple rosters across the Atlantic and becomes a sudden top 10 bestseller on two of them.
“Training Season” Returns to Two Sales Charts
“Training Season” reenters both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts this week. The Radical Optimism smash breaks back in at Nos. 6 and 9, respectively, becoming a top 10 bestseller on both format-specific rankings at the same time.
“Training Season” appears on the Official Vinyl Singles Chart for only a third period. It has now spent twice as long – half a dozen frames – on the Official Physical Singles tally. The song debuted at No. 1 on both related rosters in February 2024.
The single managed one frame at No. 1 on the vinyl-only list and then dipped to No. 29 before slipping away. It performed better on the Official Physical Singles Chart, starting at the summit and then backtracking to fifth place, only to repeat that showing over the next two periods as well.
“Training Season” disappeared for a short time before reentering the ranking of the bestselling tunes on any physical format – whether CD, cassette or vinyl – at No. 51. The single has been missing from both rosters where it returns inside the top 10 this frame since the spring of 2024.
“Training Season” Remains a Top Five Hit
“Training Season” lives inside the top 10 on the Official Singles chart, holding in fifth place – just one space beneath its all-time peak. As of this frame, the comeback hit has spent 20 weeks somewhere on the competitive tally.
The tune also appears on the Official Streaming, Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. It holds just outside the uppermost tier at No. 11 on the streaming ranking, while slipping to Nos. 12 and 13 on the two purchase-focused lists, respectively.
Two Dua Lipa Albums Chart in the U.K.
Two Dua projects also appear on the U.K. charts this week. Live from Mexico and her self-titled debut both find space on the Official Albums Streaming ranking, where they land at Nos. 15 and 82, respectively. The more recent release between the pair inches one rung higher, while Dua Lipa slips four spots.
Live from Mexico also appears on the Official Albums chart, the most competitive ranking of the most-consumed albums and EPs in the country. The live collection climbs two spaces this frame, improving to No. 22.
