Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth tapped SpaceX chief Elon Musk to be a co-leader on Project Meridian, revealing the billionaire tech mogul will be a leading voice on the new initiative that will study, identify and propose the development of new weapons and technologies for the U.S. military.
Hegseth said Wednesday that Musk would be part of the military project.
