Jimin’s Radio Chart Record Matched By ‘KPop Demon Hunters’

No matter which consumption metric one focuses on, “Golden,” the lead single from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, has always been a massive smash. In the months since the tune first reached the Billboard charts, it has risen to historic highs on multiple radio rosters and also stood out as the most-streamed and bestselling track in the United States.

More than half a year after “Golden” – which is credited to the girl group Huntr/x, as well as singers Ejae, Audrey, Nuna, and Rei Ami – debuted, it has time and time again pushed past some of the most successful cuts by K-pop artists in terms of longevity on the charts. This frame, the KPop Demon Hunters blockbuster matches an impressive showing by one of the seven men who make up BTS.

“Golden” Nears the Top 10 on the Streaming Songs Chart

On this week’s Streaming Songs chart, which ranks the most-played cuts of any genre or language on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, but only from American consumers, “Golden” nears the top 10, pushing from No. 14 to No. 12. As of this period, “Golden” has spent 34 weeks among the 50 most-streamed tracks, and that’s a special figure.

“Golden” Ties BTS’s Jimin With “Who”

As it holds on once more, “Golden” ties for the fourth-longest run on the Streaming Songs chart, looking only at singles that are performed at least partially in Korean or which come from musical acts typically associated with South Korea and the K-pop industry. “Golden” is on the same level as “Who” by BTS superstar Jimin. “Who” debuted on the roster in August 2024, while “Golden” appeared nearly a year later, in mid-July 2025.

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” Still Leads by a Mile

By far the longest-charting track by any K-pop star is “Gangnam Style” from Psy. That smash, which helped create the K-pop wave that continues to this day, managed 122 turns on the tally.

“Baby Shark,” credited to the musical act Pinkfong – which is more of a brand than a traditional vocal group – has spent 59 stints somewhere on the Streaming Songs rundown. Just one more cut, “Apt.” by Blackpink singer Rosé and Bruno Mars, beats “Golden,” but not by much. “Apt.,” which recently made history by earning Grammy nominations for both Record and Song of the Year – the first K-pop composition to land in either field – managed 37 moments on the streaming-only list. It’s entirely possible that in the coming weeks, “Golden” will match that showing, and perhaps even pass it.

“Golden” Ranks as the Longest-Running Streaming Songs No. 1

Only three tunes credited to K-pop musicians have hit No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart. Before “Golden,” both of Psy’s hits, “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman,” commanded the tally for multiple periods. “Golden,” which spent 13 weeks running the show, racked up more turns at No. 1 than both “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” combined.

“Golden” Climbs on Streaming and Sales Charts and the Hot 100

This week, “Golden” appears on nine Billboard charts, and it manages to climb on nearly half of them. While the tune dips one space on the Radio Songs roster, falling from No. 5 to No. 6, it improves its standing on both the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales rankings. Those three consumption lists help feed into the Billboard Hot 100, the most important tally of them all. “Golden” improves to No. 12 on both the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts, while pushing two spaces to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
