Director Luc Besson’s new film adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, starring Caleb Landry Jones and Christoph Waltz, is coming soon to digital streaming.
Dracula originally opened in France in July 2025, before making its debut in North American theaters on Feb. 6. The official logline for the film reads, “In the wake of a devastating loss, a 15th-century prince renounces God and is cursed to eternal life as Dracula (Jones). Now, the untold love story of the infamous vampire unfolds as he journeys across centuries, defying fate and mortality in search of his lost love (Zoë Bleu).”
Directed by Besson (The Fifth Element, Lucy), Dracula also stars Matilda De Angelis, Guillaume de Tonquédec and Ewens Abid. Besson also adapted the screenplay from Stoker’s classic Gothic novel, which was published in 1897.
Rated R, Dracula will be available on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, March 10, a new listing on Prime Video confirms. In addition to Prime Video, Dracula will be available to purchase on such digital platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home and YouTube Movies & TV for $24.99. Since digital rentals typically are $5 less than purchase prices, Dracula should be available to rent for $19.99 for a 48-hour period.
How Was Luc Besson’s ‘Dracula’ Received By Audiences And Critics?
Luc Besson’s Dracula to date has earned $12.5 million in domestic ticket sales and nearly $21 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $33.5 million. The film’s production budget and marketing budget information is not available.
Dracula earned a 53% “rotten” critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer based on 108 reviews.
The RT Critics Consensus for the film reads, “Buoyed by Caleb Landry Jones’ haunting lead performance and Danny Elfman’s lush score, Dracula reimagines the classic vampire myth as an emotionally charged gothic romance, yet its inconsistent tone holds it back from genre-defining greatness.”
In addition, Dracula earned an 82% “fresh” score on RT’s Popcornmeter based on 1,000-plus verified user ratings. RT’s audience summary for Dracula is still pending.
