Mindy Kaling’s new comedy series Not Suitable For Work features a lively ensemble of rising stars playing ambitious Gen Z professionals trying to make their mark in New York City.
Executive-produced by Kaling and helmed by Charlie Grandy, the Hulu series follows five driven 20-somethings who live in the same Murray Hill apartment building and have intertwined personal and professional lives.

Ella Hunt stars as AJ, a first-year analyst at the fictional investment bank Fisher Stassen.
Hunt, an actor and musician, is known for playing Sue Gilbert on the Apple TV series Dickinson, which starred Hailee Steinfeld as the famous poet Emily Dickinson. Hunt also appeared in the 2022 Netflix film adaptation of the novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover and portrayed Saturday Night Live alum Gilda Radner in the 2024 movie Saturday Night.

Avantika Vandanapu portrays Abby, AJ’s best friend and an assistant to a celebrity stylist.
Vandanapu, who’s been acting since she was a child, starred in the 2021 Disney Channel film Spin and guest-starred on an episode of The Sex Lives of College Girls. More recently, she played Karen Shetty in the 2024 Mean Girls musical film.

Will Angus plays Davis, a finance bro who works alongside AJ at Fisher Stassen and has a huge crush on her.
Prior to Not Suitable For Work, Angus had roles in shorts and the films Prom Dates and The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie.
Jack Martin As Josh Teitelbaum

Jack Martin stars as Josh, a passionate journalist and nepo baby whose dad is the CEO of a network.
Before Not Suitable For Work, Martin appeared on the NBC series La Brea and the recently released Hulu film Pizza Movie, co-starring Stranger Things actor Gaten Matarazzo.
Nicholas Duvernay As Kel Washington

Nicholas Duvernay plays Kel, a medical school student with dreams of becoming an actor.
Duvernay previously starred alongside Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine in the 2022 Netflix movie Purple Hearts and starred on the TV series Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living. He also appeared as Zion Lindsey on season three of HBO’s hit series The White Lotus and played Drew on Peacock’s Bel-Air. Most recently, he portrayed Roman in the film Reminders of Him, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name.
Jay Ellis As Bill Gibson

Jay Ellis portrays Bill, AJ’s boss and a managing director at Fisher Stassen.
Ellis is known for starring as Lawrence Walker on HBO’s Insecure, which ran for five seasons between 2016 and 2021. He also starred as Reuben “Payback” Fitch in Top Gun: Maverick with Tom Cruise and appeared in the 2025 thriller miniseries All Her Fault. Most recently, he reprised his role as Jay Brown on season two of Netflix’s Running Point.
The first three episodes of season one of Not Suitable For Work are streaming on Hulu, followed by two new episodes every Tuesday.
