My Chemical Romance has not released a new album in more than a decade and a half, but amazingly, tickets to see the rock outfit perform live remains in demand. The group is back on the road, continuing its Long Live The Black Parade concert tour, which began last July in America.
Earlier this year, My Chemical Romance returned to the stage and performed throughout South America, Mexico and the U.S. This summer, it’s all about Europe, and then later America once more, as the run, which includes nearly 50 shows, continues to sell well. At the moment, My Chemical Romance is in the United Kingdom, and fans in that nation are showing their love by not only turning out to enjoy the band performing live, but also by sending multiple projects by the group back to the charts.
My Chemical Romance Returns With The Black Parade
Of course, the focus of the Long Live The Black Parade tour is all about the album The Black Parade. The third full-length from My Chemical Romance arrived in the fall of 2006, by which point MCR had become globally popular.
This week, The Black Parade appears on half a dozen rankings in the U.K., and it returns to all but one of them. The two-decade-old project is a win when it comes to both sales and streams, and of course, it also finds its way back to the main albums roster, which combines both of those consumption methods.
Here is a look at the charts where My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade returns in the U.K. this week.
- Official Album Downloads – No. 46
- Official Albums – No. 53
- Official Albums Streaming – No. 64
- Official Albums Sales – No. 71
- Official Physical Albums – No. 88
The Black Parade Climbs on One Additional Chart
The Black Parade was present on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart last week, and this time around it rises dramatically, thanks to My Chemical Romance’s tour of the same name. The Black Parade jumps from No. 21 to No. 13, sitting higher than it has in months.
The Black Parade Nears 700 Weeks as a Rock Bestseller
While The Black Parade returns to multiple tallies in the U.K., it can almost always be found on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. In fact, the project hasn’t failed to land on the roster since one period in October 2024, when it disappeared, but then quickly rebounded. As of this period, The Black Parade has spent 688 weeks on the genre-specific rundown. That’s longer than on the other five tallies where it returns combined – times two.
May Death Never Stop You Returns As Well
My Chemical Romance fans were clearly not satiated with listening to only The Black Parade. The band’s May Death Never Stop You, a greatest hits compilation, joins The Black Parade by returning to several rankings at once.
May Death Never Stop You bounces back onto the Official Albums chart, the main ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths and EPs in the U.K., at No. 87. It’s also a win once more on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, as the collection reappears at No. 79 on the Official Albums Streaming tally.
Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Nearly Hits the Top 10
A third full-length by My Chemical Romance, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge – the group’s breakout set – nearly becomes a top 10 bestseller again. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge sits two spaces ahead of The Black Parade on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart as it pushes from No. 15 to No. 11.
