The U.K. masked metal outfit Sleep Token has officially earned their first RIAA platinum certification with 2023’s Take Me Back To Eden. Accumulating over 2 billion streams, TMBTE has also become Spinefarm Records’ first platinum album in the label’s history. Spinefarm is home to Sleep Token’s first three LPs including 2019’s Sundowning, 2021’s This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and 2023’s Take Me Back To Eden. Sleep Token’s 2025 LP Even In Arcadia marked their debut with RCA Records where the band earned its first No.1 charting album.

Take Me Back To Eden Is Only The Start Of Sleep Token’s Platinum Milestones

Sleep Token have already earned a myriad of RIAA certifications including three certified gold singles with “Dangerous,” “Emergence,” and “Damocles,” and two certified platinum singles with “Caramel” and “The Summoning.” All of these singles except “The Summoning” can be found on 2025’s Even In Arcadia, which had also managed to become certified gold in January 2026.

It’s abundantly clear that Sleep Token have more RIAA platinum certifications on the way, solely based on well Even In Arcadia has performed since its release. With Take Me Back To Eden becoming the band’s first certified platinum LP, all signs point to Sleep Token reeling in more RIAA platinum certifications down the road, with Even In Arcadia likely being the next.

What Sleep Token’s RIAA Milestones Mean For Their Future

It really is a phenomenon for a metal band that’s as new as Sleep Token to have accumulated so many accolades in such a short timeframe. According to Consequence, the last most recent metal album to have gone platinum was Metallica’s 2016 LP, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, which reached platinum status less than a year after its release.

Few bands in the modern heavy music landscape have come even close to what Sleep Token has done since their 2019 debut studio album, and that says a lot about the state of heavy music and what fans are consuming. Regardless of the fact that some of the metal community is either indifferent or repulsed by Sleep Token’s music, it’s clear the band has far more fans than haters and their success is only going to continue growing.
