WWE Money In The Bank 2026 Preview And Predictions

WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is one of the most important PLEs of the year, with long-term ramifications that will extend into and even beyond WrestleMania season.

After years of taking place in the late spring or early summer, Money in the Bank will take place on Oct. 10 as one of the final stops on the road to Survivor Series: WarGames. Each year, the MITB PLE plays a key role in shaping major storylines on Raw and SmackDown, and it also often leads to breakout moments and pushes for rising stars.

This year’s Money in the Bank event will once again feature two marquee Money in the Bank ladder matches, one each for the men’s and women’s divisions. In addition, Roman Reigns will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight amid significant drama surrounding The Bloodline and 946 on Raw.

WWE Money In The Bank 2026 Predictions

World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) Vs. LA Knight

So, you’re saying there’s a chance? That’s what some WWE fans are thinking as LA Knight faces Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank.

The thought process behind such widespread speculation that Knight can pull off the monumental upset centers around the simmering rivalry between 946 and The Bloodline. Thus far, 946 has largely stayed away from Reigns, but he’s the last member of The Bloodline to be spared from their wrath.

Likewise, Solo Sikoa, who had been at odds with his former Bloodline buddies, just returned to the mix. Those two key factors have led some to believe that perhaps 946 or Sikoa will cost Reigns his world title at Money in the Bank, bringing Reigns more directly into that storyline.

That’s a nice theory, but given that Reigns vs. Oba Femi has been penciled in for WrestleMania 43, the more logical booking is for Reigns to retain his title and for WWE to continue his strong push until that seemingly inevitable clash with “The Ruler.”

Prediction: Reigns

Women’s World Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) Vs. Becky Lynch Vs. Liv Morgan

Vaquer won the Women’s World Championship at a house show in her home country of Chile last month, and that shocking title change was both about building up to this triple threat match and giving Vaquer a hero’s moment.

Now, it’s easy to see any of the three women in this match leaving Money in the Bank as champion even though Vaquer just won it. Lynch has largely stayed away from the world title scene for a while now and is long overdue for a title win. Meanwhile, Morgan’s recent run with the belt never really got going because most of Raw’s top stars, including Lynch and Vaquer, were off TV.

This match isn’t as predictable as some recent women’s title matches, but the slight edge goes to Morgan, largely because of something else that might happen at Money in the Bank. More on that later.

Prediction: Morgan

Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Bron Breakker Vs. CM Punk Vs. Je’Von Evans Vs. Kevin Owens Vs. Penta Vs. Trick Williams

By sheer process of elimination, it’s reasonable to assume that Kevin Owens and CM Punk are going to essentially eliminate each other from the MITB match given how heated and personal their rivalry has become. Of course, neither star necessarily needs to win the briefcase to get a future world title match, either.

WWE fans can also probably cross Evans and Williams off this list as well. Although both are future cornerstones of WWE, neither is really being pushed at a main event level or likely to be elevated up the card that much within the next year. That largely makes this a two-man race between Penta and Breakker.

A month or so ago, Breakker would have been the overwhelming favorite in the Money in the Bank match. Now, however, Penta is the backstage frontrunner to win the coveted briefcase after his stellar title match against Reigns and his rapidly growing popularity.

This match is basically a coin flip between Penta and Breakker.

Prediction: Breakker

Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Jacy Jayne Vs. Lash Legend Vs. Lola Vice Vs. Roxanne Perez Vs. Sol Ruca Vs. Tiffany Stratton

Even more so than the men’s match, the women’s WWE Money in the Bank ladder match almost exclusively features rising stars. In fact, only Stratton has won a world title on the main roster.

That’s exactly the type of talent that should be featured in the MITB match, which is supposed to be a way to elevate new stars. However, in looking at the field of six entrants, Stratton has a better chance to win the Money in the Bank briefcase than just about all of them. Why? Well, because a MITB win could propel her to a heel turn and betrayal of new sidekick and current WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green. WWE has clearly been teasing that possibility, after all.

The reality, though, is that this would essentially be a repeat of Stratton’s storyline and cash-in on Nia Jax, which feels too repetitive. That makes Perez the clear frontrunner at Money in the Bank, where she should finally get out from the shadow of Liv Morgan in Judgment Day.

While Legend, Jayne, Vice and Ruca all have promising futures, Perez is the most ready to ascend into WWE’s main event scene. Of course, a MITB win could also potentially result in Perez cashing in on Morgan and imploding Judgment Day, possibly as soon as on the very same night she wins the briefcase.

Prediction: Perez

Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed

WWE has booked itself into a corner with this one because, as mentioned, Reigns vs. Femi seems to be the clear and obvious WrestleMania direction. In other words, Reigns shouldn’t lose anytime soon.

The problem is, Reed, who just returned after a lengthy layoff and is in incredible shape, shouldn’t lose either. That has resulted in widespread speculation that virtually every member of Reed’s The Vision stable will interfere and shaft Femi out of a win, keeping Femi relatively strong in the process.

That’s a logical way to book this one, but because WWE may not want to have Femi lose again before his expected match with Reigns, that is far from a certainty. Much like the men’s MITB match, this one is a virtual toss-up, but as is the case with Reigns vs. Knight, a Reed upset win could just be wishful thinking.

Prediction: Femi
